Grace represents a highly integrated, devoted and collaborative community of students and their families. We encourage Grace parents and caregivers to participate in and contribute to the life and mission of the School.

A Message From the
2023-24 GESPA President

Welcome to the 2023 – 2024 school year! I am excited to have another great year at Grace – leading our Parents Association with Viju Nasir Dilley (JK, 2, 4) back again as our Vice President and Erin Kara  (5, ’21 Alumni) serving as our Secretary/Treasurer.  I would also like to thank all of our new and returning room parents who help each class with GESPA organizing and involvement and really lead our efforts throughout the school.
Last year we were able to really show what this community is about – getting together to have fun and build those precious memories of childhood while supporting such a special school.  GESPA is devoted to supporting the school’s goal of developing a nurturing community, promoting academic excellence and encouraging service to others. To support that mission, the parents association organizes school-wide events that nurture our community and build lasting memories, takes care of teachers and staff on birthdays and holidays and plans outreach activities to serve others.  All parents are members of GESPA and we are hoping every family can find an opportunity or niche within our community to give back and be involved.  If it’s volunteering as an Ambassador or Angel Family, serving on the cheer squad for our Running Club, buying supplies for BINGO night, staffing a uniform drive or being a water balloon gopher for Field Day – we have so many opportunities to be involved at Grace.
Grace is a special place filled with many wonderful families and a dedicated and talented faculty and administration. It’s a great honor to serve this community, and our team welcomes your ideas and input this year.  Thank you for your continued support of Grace and here’s to a memorable year filled with fun, education and engagement.

GESPA

Grace Episcopal School’s Parents Association (GESPA) is our parents’ best resource for getting involved in life at Grace. Throughout each school year, GESPA helps to organize school-wide events that engage our community, take care of teachers and staff on birthdays and holidays and plan outreach activities to serve others.

The Grace Partnership for Excellence

As part of the Grace Partnership for Excellence, we are committed to creating and maintaining a strong partnership between school and family. This shared responsibility of helping our children meet educational and personal goals ensures the ultimate success of each Grace student.

Students at Grace Episcopal School are expected to grow in knowledge, responsibility and maturity as they progress through the grades. With the encouragement, care, advice and support that stems from strong parent-teacher relationships, students at Grace thrive academically and socially: growing in self-awareness, self-confidence, integrity and independence. Parents can expect an open line of communication with administrators and teachers at all times during their child’s educational journey at Grace.

Students

The Students’ Role is to aim high, work hard and achieve to the best of their abilities. Grace Episcopal School students take responsibility for their own studies and character building, and also contribute positively to the experience of all others in the school. Students contribute to school spirit and the learning environment of Grace Episcopal School and are not merely served by it. They complement the work and dedication of their parents and their teachers.

Teachers

The Teachers’ Role is to create a positive environment for learning, offering a high quality program of study and inspiring the students’ efforts through encouragement and support. Teachers strive to use the students’ unique talents to help them build character and self-esteem. They are dedicated to their students and the school both in the classroom and beyond.

Parents

The Parents’ Role is to be partners in the learning and growing process, fostering in their children the attitudes and work habits which lead to academic and personal success. Parents help children develop judgment, sensitivity and an appreciation of the diversity of beliefs and cultures in our communities and in Grace Episcopal School. They make schoolwork a top priority and insist on diligent effort, supporting their children in times of difficulty and rejoicing in their successes.
