Extended Care
Students in Grace’s extended care program thrive in a safe, nurturing environment where they bond with peers, participate in crafts and outdoor exercise, enjoy healthy snacks and more.
An Extended, Enriched Day
Grace offers flexible, quality extended care programs to all students in Preschool through Grade 5. Morning care students arrive as early as 7:30am each day, and afterschool care is available until 6pm. In addition to allowing families to sign up for any combination of days of the week, we also allow drop-ins for those days when a child may need to come early or stay late.
Over the years, the programs have become increasingly popular with more than 71% of current families participating in some form of extended care. Students thoroughly enjoy their “extra” time at Grace playing with friends and bonding with extended care staff members.
Morning Care
7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Morning care is open to all students and begins as early as 7:30 a.m. with staff ready to welcome the children to crafts and centers. Students are given the opportunity to have a morning recess to use physical energy before settling into classroom routines.
Lunch Bunch
Early Childhood Students; 12 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
Grace Preschool and Junior Kindergarten students love to join our “lunch bunch” at noon, where they eat lunch together, followed by outdoor recess time on the early childhood playground and nap or rest time. “Lunch bunch” ends at 3:15, at which point these Preschool and Junior Kindergarten students have the option to stay as late as 6:00 p.m. in aftercare.
Aftercare
3:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Aftercare extends to 6:00 p.m. assuring parents that their children are safe to have a snack, complete homework and play with friends after school. Students of all ages have the opportunity to participate in various Enrichment Clubs offered after school at Grace for an additional cost. Offerings vary per season.
